Introduction
IVF Calendar ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our mobile application.
Your fertility treatment journey is deeply personal, and we take the responsibility of protecting your data seriously. That is why IVF Calendar is built with a privacy-first architecture: your data stays on your device.
No Account Required
IVF Calendar does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. There is no registration, no email collection, and no authentication system.
Data Storage
All your treatment schedule data — events, appointments, medications, procedures, and notes — is stored locally on your device using SQLite. No personal data is uploaded to any cloud or server.
We do not have access to your treatment information, and we cannot retrieve it if you lose your device.
What Our Server Stores
Our server is used for exactly one purpose: encrypted schedule sharing. When you choose to share your schedule with a partner:
- You set a password that never leaves your device
- Your schedule is encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before being uploaded
- The server stores only the encrypted blob — it cannot read or decrypt your data
- Your partner enters the password in their browser to decrypt the schedule locally
The server stores zero personally identifiable information (PII). No names, no email addresses, no treatment details.
Calendar Sync
If you enable calendar sync, events are written to your device's built-in calendar system. From there, your operating system may sync calendar data to cloud services (e.g. iCloud, Google Calendar) depending on your device settings. We do not control or access this sync — it is managed entirely by your OS.
Analytics and Tracking
IVF Calendar does not use any analytics, tracking, or third-party data collection services. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or device information.
Third-Party Services
IVF Calendar does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only network communication is the optional encrypted sharing feature described above.
Data Retention
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app or clearing its data in your device settings.
Encrypted sharing blobs on our server are automatically deleted after they expire.
Children's Privacy
IVF Calendar is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, most data rights are exercised directly on your device. You can:
- View all your data within the app
- Export your data via encrypted backup
- Delete all your data by removing the app
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new Privacy Policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
